Something your unsure about?  Not quite sure how to transfer or a call or redirect your phone to your mobile?  Our frequently asked questions should help to shed some light on that subject that may have been a little grey.

Q: How long does it take to get connected?

A: We aim to complete all requests for service within 24 business hours.

Q: What telephones can I use with HomeLinx?

A: You can use any equipment approved for use in Australia on a normal telephone line.

Q: How do I divert my phone to another number?

A: To use this feature you need to have a neighborhood line (dial 0 first).

*00 - Forward cancellation

*01 - Immediate forward

*02 - Immediate forward on busy

*03 - Forward on no answer

*04 - Forward on busy or no answer

Simply select the forwarding feature, dial the appropriate code, then '0' for the outside line and then the number you wish to forward to. Please note that you are responsible for the cost of the redirected call.

Q: How do I make 3 way conference calls?

A: To use this feature you need to have a neighborhood line (dial 0 first).

1. Dial the number of the first party eg. Dial '0' Then '029739XXX1'

2. Place the first party on hold by pressing the 'Recall' key

3. Dial the number of the second party eg. Dial '0' Then '029739XXX2'

4. Join all callers together by pressing the 'Recall' key then the '3' key

Q: Am I able to retrieve my HomeLinx voicemail remotely?

A: Yes you can if you are using this service on a neighbourhood line.

1. Dial the remote voicemail number '0296474301'

2. When voice guide starts press the * key to interrupt

3. Dial your extension number (last 4 numbers of your phone number) then #

4. Dial your password when prompted and then follow the voice guides

Q: How do I block my number from being seen by the person I'm calling?

A: Simply dial the code '1831' immediately before the persons number to block your number from being seen by the other party.

Q: How do I redial the last number called?

A: To use this feature you need to have a neighborhood line (dial 0 first).

Q: Do I have access to voicemail services?

A: To use this feature you need to have a neighborhood line (dial 0 first).

Yes you do! Voicemail is a free service we offer and is available on request. Below is a list of helpful commands.

Q: Can I retrieve my voicemail remotely?

A: Yes you can! Simply dial (02)96474301 and follow the prompts.

Q: How do I access my email remotely?

A: You can access your email at anytime by visiting the website http://mail.homelinx.com.au.

Q: How do I manage my email spam quarantine?

A: You can access your email quarantine at anytime by visiting the website http://www.homelinx.com.au/spam.

Q: How do I change my email account password?

A: Follow these steps to change your password for your HomeLinx email account:
1. Go to the HomeLinx web mail http://mail.homelinx.com.au
2. Login with your current username and password and then click the Login button.
3. Select the “options” button which is placed on the top bar near the “Log off”     button.
4. Enter Current password, enter the new password in the second box, Re-enter the     new password in the third box to confirm the password you now want to use.
5. Click the "Update" button. Your new password will now replace the old one.


Once you’ve changed your password on your account, you’ll need to change your password on your e-mail client ( eg Outlook Express, Microsoft Outlook)

Q: What do I do if I have forgotten my email password?

A: In order to reset your email account password, you must call HomeLinx on
1800 88 99 59.
